Donii Privacy Policy:

Donii is committed to protecting the privacy and security of your information.  This Privacy Policy describes the following:

  • What personally identifiable information is collected from you from our website donii.org (the “Site”);

  • How we use the information;

  • With whom we may share the information;

  • What choices you have regarding the use of your data;

  • The security procedures in place to protect your information;

  • How you can correct any inaccuracies in the information; and

  • Disclosures, links to other sites and Privacy Policy updates.

 

Information We Collect

 

The Site captures some information about you automatically utilizing background local storage and session storage technologies for user information and internal authentication purposes. Examples of information of this type are your IP address, the browser you are using, the operating system you are using and the pages on the Site that you visit. 

The Site also collects information that you provide to us voluntarily.  You may be asked to provide certain information about yourself, such as your name, email address, physical address and phone number, in connection with activities that require sign-in or subscription.  In order to help us and the non-profit entities with whom we do business understand better the demographic makeup of our users, we may also collect certain statistical and analytical information such as your gender and birth year.

Nonprofit organizations that sign up with Donii are asked to provide the organization name, Employer Identification Number (EIN), URL, physical address, and the name and email address of an authorized representative for the organization.

 

We do not knowingly collect information from persons under the age of 13 and/or their internet usage, and such persons are not authorized to use the Site. If we obtain actual knowledge that a user is under 13, we will take steps to remove that user's personal information from our databases. By using the Site, you are representing that you are at least 13 years old.  You also represent, by accessing or using the Site, that you are of legal age to enter into legal agreements, or if you are not, that you have obtained your parent’s or legal guardian’s consent to accept the terms in this Privacy Policy.

 

How We Use the Information

We use the information we collect to provide the products and services you request, to inform you of new products and services or changes in products and services, and to administer the Site.  You will have the opportunity to opt out of any electronic marketing communications you may receive from us. 

With Whom We Share the Information

We will not sell or rent your personal information to any third party without your prior written consent. 

 

For individuals, we provide your personal information to the nonprofit organizations to which you choose to donate on our platform. Donii has no control over the data practices of the nonprofit organizations to which you choose to donate. Accordingly, please review such organizations’ privacy policies and any other terms of use prior to selecting them on our platform for your donation.  If the organizations to which you choose to donate sends you marketing materials, please communicate opt-out requests directly to them.

 

You may accordingly receive acknowledgements, tax receipts or other communications from these organizations via our Site and, accordingly, visible to our Site administrators.  From time to time we incorporate the contents of these communications in our promotional materials, but we will not incorporate your personal information without seeking your consent first.  

    

For nonprofit organizations, we share the information you provide to us to donors.  In the course of using our Site you may send donation acknowledgements, tax receipts, or other communications to donors, which are visible to our Site administrators.  We may occasionally incorporate the contents of these communications in our promotional materials, but we will not incorporate your identifying information without seeking your consent first.  

We may disclose information if we have a good faith belief that disclosure is necessary by law or the legal process, to protect and defend our or others’ interests or property, or to enforce agreements you enter into with us.  Your information may be transferred to another company in connection with a merger of sale of substantially all the assets of Donii. 

Donii may obtain your written consent from time to time in electronic form by using online agreements or other acknowledgements on the Site.  Please read all online agreements carefully before accepting them. 

 

Your Choices

Our Site enables you to maintain a profile (see “account information” on your dashboard) where you may access your personal information.  All of the information you provide with the exception of your email address may be changed through your dashboard.  If your email address changes, please contact us at info@donii.org, as we will need to make that change for you.  You may also request that your account be deleted by contacting us at info@donii.org.

You may opt out of receiving electronic marketing communications from us by clicking on the “unsubscribe” link on the communication.

Some non-marketing communications are not subject to a general opt-out, such as communications about product downloads, sales transactions, donation status messages, disclosures to comply with legal requirements, software updates and other support-related information. 

Security Procedures

We take reasonable precautions to protect your passwords, the personally identifiable information you provide to us, and communications between us.  We implement a combination of hashing algorithms, salted passwords, and SSL encryption.  Because no Internet or e-mail transmission is ever fully secure or error free, please be careful in deciding what information you send to us via email or over the Internet.  We cannot guarantee absolute security and users assume the risk of security breaches and all consequences resulting from them. To assist with the protection of personally identifiable information, you must keep your account information confidential and not disclose it to any other person. You are responsible for all uses of the Site by any person using your account. Please advise us immediately if you believe your account has been misused. How to Correct Information

 

You may contact us to request information about the personal information we have collected from you and to request the correction, modification or deletion of such personal information.  To make a request or to ask us a question about our information practices, please contact us via email at info@donii.org.   You may also modify your registration information by logging into your account on the Site and changing your profile settings.

Our Site may contain links to other websites for your convenience or information.  These websites may be operated by companies unaffiliated with Donii, and we are not responsible for the content or privacy practices of those websites.  Linked websites may have their own terms of use and privacy policies, and we encourage you to review those policies whenever you visit the websites. 

 

California Disclosures

California Information-Sharing Disclosure: California residents may request a list of all third parties with respect to which we have disclosed any information about you for direct marketing purposes and the categories of information disclosed.  If you are a California resident and want such a list, please send us a written request by email to info@donii.org with “California Privacy Rights” in the subject line. 

California Do Not Track Disclosure: We do not track your activity across websites and, therefore, do not respond to Do Not Track browser settings. 

Privacy Policy Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time and without prior notice to you to reflect changes in our information practices.  Please review this Privacy Policy periodically and especially before you provide personally identifiable information to us.  If we make material changes to this Privacy Policy, we will notify you here, by email or by means of a notice on our home page.  The date of the last update of the Privacy Policy is indicated at the top of this Privacy Policy.  Your continued use of our Site after any changes to our Privacy Policy indicates your agreement with the terms of the revised Privacy Policy.
